Currently it guards some reliquaries, the so-called "scarabattole" and "scaffarrate", once present in every sicilian house as domestic altars to which turn prayers. Predominant theme is the one of the Nativity, with unusual and complex manger representations. The wise use of the wax allowed results of big effect and refinement. These delicate manufactured articles, almost always made in the province of Messina, are the fruit of a secular tradition.
The manger in the trapezoidal reliquary is realized with figures in ivory, coral and nacre, with references to the more known models of the Tipa's studio.
The paintings with religious subject on the walls of this room (XVI-XIX centuries) need urgent restaurations.
